The aggressive nature of 90's dance music was a staple in the London ACID TECHNO scene and STAY UP FOREVER was no doubt the leader of this movement. Run by THE LIBERATOR DJ'S and originating in the squat party scene, ACID TECHNO become a main stage-peak time release at all-night raves over the world. Ep 06: Classic 90's & 00's Trance

More and more 90's! There's just so much great music from that era! This episode, rather than drop an hour of as many tracks as I could, features a 2 hour journey through trance and techno. It's a slow burn. I did break my own rules a bit as there are a few modern drops in the set, mostly of the techno variety, but otherwise, it's all late 90's, early 00's of some of the best trance in my crate.
So, pop in those headphones, block out the world and let's go on this journey together.

Ep 05: The Funk Phenomena

We can't talk 90's club music without acknowledging the impact that HOUSE and BREAKS made on the scene! This funk-filled episode focuses solely on three artists who were played at every event, large and small. Namely, FATBOY SLIM, ARMAND VAN HELDEN and JOSH WINK. Their releases brought a whole new crowd out to our events that might not have embraced rave culture if not for this incredibly accessible style! Borrowing from 70's disco and funk records, these artists catapulted into superstardom.
I dug deep in the record crates and pulled out as many of their hits as I could remember in the hopes of taking you on a retrospective journey that will surely bring back some incredible memories!

Celebrating 90's club music begins now! Episode 1 features underground trance label, Hook Recordings. Hook began in 1991 under the helm of Chris Cowie (X-Cabs). Besides X-Cabs, it also launched careers for various global trance artists, including, but not limited to, Christopher Lawrence and Transa. 
Hook was prolific in cementing underground trance globally.
